Where Your Dollar Goes

Synopsis of How $  Directed toward Harvest Field Corners MicroEnterprise Endeavors Uplifts Several Poor Underprivileged Christians While Enabling the Church’s they Attend

Present Micro-Enterprise Program

In Pakistan, we operate similar to a Credit Union, as the poor in un-developed countries do not have access to financial services. Typically it takes about two or three year’s wages to open a checking or savings account with any local bank. We assist the poor by offering business training courses to a local church group and then making loans for income generation purposes [business endeavors]. People treat a loan $  differently than a gift for humanitarian aid. Loans are only approved for income generation purposes [business endeavors] and require a Pastor’s recommendation. Presently the average loan amount is $580 which is about one year’s income for the average worker. The typical borrower is the head of a household with 6 dependents. During the maximum 30 month loan amortization period, thru business profits borrower expects to double these invested $, in addition to liquidating loan balance.  During this repayment period the entrepreneur will be paying tithes to the church on all monies taken from business proceeds for family or personal use. Before the end of 30 month amortization period most will have two or more employees. This program is presently working with a 98% repayment ratio. Research indicates 17 individuals receive a sustainable benefit from the average loan.

Each Dollar Contributed Multiplies

Over a 10 year period each loan $contributes toward uplifting 4 or more Christian Businesspeople benefiting approximately 17 individuals. Counting employees family members, the number benefited could easily total 68 or more individuals. We know that at least the tithe from 4 families has increased and providing their employees are tithe paying Christians; it could total 12 or more tithe paying families. This increases their church’s resources, outreach, influence and effectiveness. Also these trained Harvest Field Corners Entrepreneurs are shining lights in the Muslim dominated business centers.

$100 Investment = During the repayment period this revolving $100 doubles each businessperson’s capital while earning over $100 in interest income, making the total 10 year yield in excess of $900; plus this original $100 invested 10 years ago is still intact and ready to start uplifting the 5th businessperson and church in upcoming year 11. Partnership inquiries from neighboring countries are now coming to us. Currently inadequate resources restrict our growth.

Pakistan Christians are severely discriminated against; typically their annual income does not come up to the national average. This bias affects the churches resources and effectiveness. The above Harvest Field Corners venture is now making a positive difference in participants’ earnings and the national churches income. This not only provides additional resources for their families, but also for Pastors, church facilities, membership welfare, and expands their marketplace witness and evangelism efforts.

Pakistan Church Pastors thoroughly endorse our Harvest Field Corners program, sharing that this is one of the few USA actions that directly uplifts Pakistani Christians and Churches. Explaining that most from USA do beneficial worthy projects, but only the few well-educated Pakistani Christians ending up on their payroll are directly benefited. This issue can cause jealously within the congregation. However, providing they have self discipline, Harvest Field Corners training program teaches and provides the way for even illiterate Christian entrepreneurs to produce an average [or better] income for their family. This income generation method [MicroEnterprise Development] of eliminating poverty ultimately benefits the local church, as under or unemployed members who may have been a financial burden are now contributors, plus a witness for Jesus Christ in the Muslim dominated marketplace.

Summarization Thoughts: We hope this clarifies the difference between contributions to Humanitarian Aid VS: Harvest Field Corners MicroEnterprise Endeavors

Giving a person a fish, feeds them for a day = Humanitarian Aid;
Teaching and equipping a person to fish, Feeds them for a lifetime = HFC MicroEnterprise Endeavors.

Presently HFC-PK has about $60,000 in its revolving loan account and “little by little, [Dt 7:22]” it increases each month. We believe that over a several year period we will develop a $500,000 revolving loan fund that will produce a 10% or greater annual income to HFC-PK. This income will pay the HFC- PK annual expenses for a 1,000 micro-loan operation; making this a sustainable self-supporting business, while building and strengthening the Pakistani Church.

Pray about sharing some of your charitable contribution dollars with Harvest Field Corners, also help us spread this info with others that may appreciate partnering with an organization that trains and equips the poorest in our world instead of only contributing to orgs that just do humanitarian activities [and may be overloaded with USA operational expenses]. We strive to maximize every donors $’s. Our IRS 990 form is available at

We consistently need and request fervent prayer; projects of this nature not adequately covered with prayer come under severe enemy attacks.
